I am naturally fairly thin, so I never felt I had a reason to exercise regularly. I thought people only exercised regularly when they needed to lose weight. Recently, I began having having back pain off and on and becoming winded when walking up just a few flights of stairs. I visited the doctor, and she ran tests to rule out serious health problems. She then asked me if I exercised. I told her no. She told me that I could help my back pain by strengthening my weak core muscles and that my heart health was at risk if I didn't start doing some type of cardiovascular exercise. This was a wake-up call, and I started exercising several days each week. My problems are improving! I created this blog to remind other people that exercise is important for good health, even if you are not overweight.
